Why are people different colors?
The answer to that question, dear,
Is as simple as can be.
Imagine how the world would look,
If all the flowers were blue?
If ever bird look just alike,
And the sky never changed its hue.
What if every puppy was just the same
And all the kittens were gray?
And even fish looked just alike,
With nothing bright and gay?
Think how dull getting dressed would be?
If only one color was known?
And the lights we hang at Christmas,
Were all a dull monotone.
It's plain to see God loves colors
So he lovingly colored us too.
With reds, and yellows, black, and white.
And each one is as special as you.
